Shikishis

Shikishis are traditional Japanese cardboard boards used for original illustrations and artist signatures. Rooted in long-standing cultural practices, they occupy a unique position within the worlds of anime and manga, at the intersection of artwork, spontaneous gesture, and human exchange.
