The imacollector® collector’s ethical charter

Here, collecting is about preserving, understanding, and passing things on.

Not to create artificial scarcity, speculate, or strip objects of their meaning.

The 3 imacollector® commitments

An anti-scalping approach

No buying driven by quick resale or immediate profit.

A culture of memory

Here, an object’s value is not reduced to its price or rarity.

A clear framework

A badge, simple rules, structured access, and clear moderation.

Why a charter?

In recent years, part of the collecting world has grown harsher: opportunistic buying, artificial scarcity, quick resales, and prices rising in ways disconnected from both reality and the meaning of the objects themselves.

The result: rising prices, genuine enthusiasts stepping away, and works reduced to nothing more than their market value.

imacollector® stands for another approach: documenting, passing things on, and circulating objects in a way that remains coherent.

This charter exists to protect that way of collecting.

IT IS NOT MEANT TO POLICE THE ENTIRE SCENE OR JUDGE EVERY PURCHASE.

Its purpose is simply to set a clearer, more demanding framework, one that aligns with my vision of collecting and with the spirit of the project itself.

Guardian of pop culture memory giving our passions the place they deserve.

The charter principles

By signing this charter, you commit to:

Collect for memory

Prioritize transmission, understanding, and archiving over performance or resale logic.

Refuse scalping

Do not buy with the intention of quickly reselling for immediate profit.

Keep resale within limits

Resale can exist, but it must remain coherent, justified, and reasonable.

Be transparent about what matters

Be honest about an object’s condition, provenance, and any defects or restorations when it changes hands.

Respect fair access

Do not use bots, multiple accounts, bulk purchases, or any other practice intended to deliberately deny others fair access.

Protect the ecosystem

Refuse scams, counterfeit items, and misleading sales practices.

What the charter changes for you

Signing the imacollector® charter is not just a way to signal a position.

It is also a way to enter a clearer, more serious framework that is closer to the spirit of the project.

What the charter can offer you

  • an imacollector® badge
  • a space for discussion centered on works and objects, not on profit or money
  • more consistent access to certain information, alerts, or priority openings depending on the situation
  • better visibility on certain pieces or ongoing searches connected to the imacollector® universe

What the charter is not

  • It is neither a moral tribunal nor an attempt to convert anyone. It is a simple filter designed to help collecting evolve within a healthier, clearer, and more coherent framework.
  • The charter is not reserved for major collectors. It is meant for anyone who wants to collect with seriousness, curiosity, and respect.

A project that goes beyond the charter

The charter is part of a broader ecosystem.

Priority access to imacollector® is the entry point for accessing some of my rarest pieces and research.

It is where certain previews, selected alerts, and the clearest visibility on imacollector®’s most important objects, content, and sales are brought together.

Because some pieces, some figures, some games, and some offers will only ever be available within a private circle.

So by the time they go public, everything may already be decided before you have had the chance to react.

Without priority access, you will discover the object too late, often after it has already been made public or sold.

A project that goes beyond the charter

The charter is part of a broader ecosystem.

Today, Patreon is the main priority access point for the most important pieces, searches, and openings within imacollector®.

That is where some previews, selected alerts, and the clearest visibility on imacollector®’s most important objects, content, and openings are gathered.

On Patreon, you can:

  • see certain pieces before they are made public
  • get earlier access to selected offers or sales
  • receive selected alerts before everyone else
  • follow important searches and new arrivals more closely
  • be part of the priority circle when a piece goes up for sale

Because some pieces, some figures, some games, and some offers will only happen within Patreon’s private circle.

So by the time they go public, everything may already be decided before you have had the chance to react.

Without priority access, you will discover the object too late, often after it has already been made public or sold.

Want to apply?

Here is how it works:

  1. You apply through the form
You briefly explain your interest in the charter and the way you collect.

  2. I review the overall consistency of the application
The goal is not to pick an arbitrary elite, but to identify profiles that align with the spirit of the project.

  3. If your application is accepted, you enter a 30-day trial period
You receive your badge and gradually enter the imacollector® framework.

  4. If everything goes well, your signature becomes fully validated
You then remain identified as a member who has signed the charter.

This charter has one purpose: to protect a way of collecting.

Trial period and moderation

Why a trial period?

Because a credible framework requires time, consistency, and trust.

The charter only has value if it reflects a real way of entering both collecting and the imacollector® ecosystem.

This period simply helps prevent opportunistic or purely symbolic sign-ups.

How does moderation work?

Moderation exists to preserve the framework that has been set out.

In cases of doubt, behavior inconsistent with the charter, repeated attempts to bypass the process, or well-argued reports, a reassessment may be carried out.

Depending on the case, this may lead to:

  • a reminder of the framework
  • a temporary suspension
  • removal of the badge or of certain access privileges

The goal is not to punish lightly, but to keep the space healthy, functional, and respectful.

FAQ

Is resale completely forbidden?

This charter does not treat resale as inherently wrong. What it rejects above all are quick, opportunistic resale practices driven only by profit and money.

The charter is also for people who are just starting out, provided they share the spirit of the project.

No. Signing does not automatically guarantee access to everything. Its main purpose is to let you enter a more coherent and serious framework. Some priorities or openings also depend on the type of piece, the context, and in some cases your level of involvement in the project, including your Patreon tier.

Because some pieces and some information require a real framework. The goal is not to create an exclusive circle, but to preserve coherence, the quality of exchanges, and the long-term value of the project.

Collect differently, within a clearer framework

Signing the imacollector® charter shows a desire to collect with greater seriousness, greater coherence, and greater respect for objects, works, and fellow collectors.

It is also a way of entering a project that values memory, transmission, and another way of circulating pieces.
